PRIVACY POLICY

1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

When you create an account, we process the information needed to register, authenticate, support, and secure that account.

Depending on how you use the app, we may process email address and account identifiers, name and profile information, content you create, submit, or share through the app, photos, videos, and other media you choose to provide, device type, operating system, app version, and device identifiers, feature interactions, session activity, and other usage information, crash logs, diagnostics, and performance information, and advertising identifiers and ad interaction information.

The app may request access to your camera, photo library, and notifications. These permissions are used only for the features you choose, and you can change them in your device settings.

2. HOW WE USE INFORMATION

We use information to provide and maintain HeyHey!, operate requested features, authenticate users where applicable, process transactions, respond to support requests, improve performance, diagnose errors, prevent abuse, protect users, and comply with legal obligations.

3. SERVICE PROVIDERS AND FIREBASE

We use service providers that may process information on our behalf, including Firebase Authentication to provide sign-in and protect account access, Google Analytics for Firebase to understand app usage and improve features, Firebase Crashlytics to diagnose crashes and improve stability, Apple, Google Play to process purchases or subscriptions, Google AdMob, Meta Audience Network to deliver or measure advertising, and Supabase for app features and supporting services. Their processing is governed by their own terms and privacy notices as well as our agreements with them.

4. ADVERTISING AND SHARING

The app displays advertising. Ad providers may receive device, advertising, approximate location, usage, or interaction information as permitted by your device settings and applicable law.

We do not sell personal information for money. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising unless this policy expressly says otherwise.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, to investigate abuse, or as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, or transfer of assets.

5. DATA RETENTION AND DELETION

We keep information only for as long as needed to provide the app, fulfill the purposes described here, resolve disputes, protect users, and meet legal obligations. Retention periods vary by the type of information and why it is processed.

You can request deletion using the instructions at help.luminarlab.com/heyhey/delete-data.html. We may retain limited information when required by law or needed for security, fraud prevention, or dispute resolution.

6. SECURITY

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. CHILDREN

HeyHey! is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under that age. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us so we can investigate and delete it where required.

8. YOUR RIGHTS AND CHOICES

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to processing of, or receive a copy of your personal information. You may also withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. Contact us to submit a request; we may need to verify your identity.

9. INTERNATIONAL PROCESSING

Luminarlab is based in Sweden. Information may be processed in countries other than where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.

10. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this policy as the App or applicable law changes. We will update the “Last updated” date and provide additional notice when required.
